Wineclim, The Difference Between a Wine Store and a Real Cellar Whether you have a purpose built cellar or adapted room, it may not offer all the criteria for the best preservation of your wine. Air conditioners which are designed for household cooling are not up to the job of keeping fine wines correctly. For example they cannot ensure a constant 12˚ temperature, or humidity between 60 and 80%, since they have a tendency to dry the air. Complete Temperature Control The CAVOcool Wineclim comes with a high accuracy temperature probe to ensure constant control; this is moveable to achieve optimum effect. The unit also incorporates a double cold/hot circuit, a two level thermostat allowing automatic cooling or heating, a function control indicator for the compressor, cold and hot circuits plus over ride on /off switch. Accuracy in Humidity Control By recycling the condensate water, the air conditioner constantly controls the humidity of your cellar, stabilising it at about 70%, any surplus water is diverted to the overflow pipe. Permanent Cellar Ventilation The additional benefit of the CAVOcool Wineclim is the ability to constantly circulate the air through the cellar, retaining uniformity of temperature as well as preventing damp or musty areas. Reduced Noise and Vibration The air conditioner has been designed to be as quiet as possible. The compressor is set on silencing mountings, the air conditioner placed in a wooden frame and surrounded by anti-vibration matting. The hood and case are insulated with deadening foam. These design additions result in an output of only 40db, one of the lowest on the market. |

No Need to Have a Tailor Made Cellar Your CAVOcool Wineclim conditioner can be installed anywhere that suits you, not just in an underground cellar. Now, a corner of the garage an outside room or even a kitchen cupboard can be converted into a wine cellar once the proper insulation has been fitted. Insulation and Installation Recommendations To ensure the most efficient operation of the system it is important that effective insulation is fitted. If this is not done the output of the conditioner would probably have to be tripled! Insulation In our experience we recommend the use of extruded, rigid Polystyrene (PS). It is quite economic, water resistant water and rodent proof. It is available in panels or panels covered in water resistant plaster for further decoration. Installation Installation has been made as simple as possible; this can be done by yourself or a handyman. The wood frame is the template for the door or wall aperture and all necessary fittings are supplied. Complete fitting instructions are supplied. |
